Your file was rejected by KDP. We correct it — ready to resubmit.
A flat-fee, per-case correction service for Amazon KDP paperback interiors and covers
rejected at the Print Previewer for technical file errors. You receive the corrected file plus a
verifiable change report: what was wrong, what was fixed, and the checks re-run on the corrected file.
$39 CAD per eligible case — one interior or one cover
Admission comes first: no payment is taken on this page. You submit your rejection
proof by email, receive a written eligibility decision, and only then — if your case is admitted — are
you asked for your file and sent a personal payment link (see “How it works”). This page collects no
data and runs no tracking scripts.
What we fix
The service covers the technical errors the KDP Previewer does not fix for you:
Fonts not embedded in the PDF
Full-page elements and bleed problems (pages built “No bleed” that need a proper bleed conversion)
Objects outside the safe area
Image resolution flagged by the checks (effective resolution measured where the image is placed)
Interior dimensions vs. the declared trim size, and pagination problems (e.g., below the 24-page paperback minimum)
Cover dimensions and spine width vs. page count and paper type
Every correction is checked deterministically: after fixing, the full set of controls is re-run on the
corrected file, and you get the before/after results in your change report.
What is not covered
Content, rights, or account rejections. If KDP rejected your book for its content,
for rights reasons, or over your account, your case is never eligible — this service is
about file mechanics only.
Margins and trim size. The Previewer already rescales these itself; they are out of
scope unless its automatic fix has degraded your file.
Hardcover files (paperback only at this time).
Rewriting, editing, or redesigning your book. Text outside the safe area is flagged, never silently moved.
How it works
Submit your rejection proof first — before any payment. Email
admissions@publishgate.ca
with: the KDP rejection notice (the Previewer error or the rejection email), and your book details
(title, paperback trim size, page count, and whether the rejected file is the interior or the cover).
Do not send your book file at this stage.
Receive a written eligibility decision. Eligibility is established in writing
before payment, and that decision is final. If your case is out of scope, the sale is refused —
you are never charged for a case we cannot take.
If admitted: send your complete file, then pay. The admission reply asks you for
the complete file and includes your personal payment link ($39 CAD, via Stripe). Payment is only ever
requested from admitted cases.
Receive your corrected file and change report — corrections applied, controls re-run,
remaining limits stated plainly.
No promise of acceptance by Amazon.
This service attests to the corrections applied and to the technical checks re-run on the corrected file.
It does not guarantee acceptance of the file by Amazon KDP: the approval decision belongs to Amazon alone,
which runs its own checks after upload. The promise is the correction — not KDP’s verdict.
Your files
Your manuscript stays yours. Files are used only to process your case, and your source file and the
corrected file are deleted no later than 30 days after your case is closed. By submitting a file, you
warrant that you hold the rights to it.
FAQ
What exactly do I receive?
The corrected PDF (interior or cover) and a change report listing the findings, the corrections
applied, and the checks re-run on the corrected file — a verifiable before/after record.
How much does it cost?
$39 CAD per eligible case, flat. No subscription.
My rejection is about content or rights. Can you help?
No. Those rejections are never eligible, and we will not take the case.
Will KDP accept my file after your correction?
We cannot promise that — no one can. We correct the technical errors in scope and prove it with
re-run checks; Amazon makes the final decision.
What if my case turns out not to be eligible?
Eligibility is decided in writing before any payment, and that decision is final: there is no
second eligibility check after payment, and no exclusion after the fact. If, despite the admission
documents, the actual file turns out to be outside the published scope, we refund you in full before
doing any work.
Why is this a pilot?
PublishGate Rescue is currently running as a time-limited 30-day pilot test, so that quality can
be verified case by case.
